interior design degree jobs
What kind of job can an associate degree in interior design?

and also would like to know if there is demand for it & I live in a small town so I need to switch to a big city to get a job?

This is the degree my daughter. He found it difficult to find work in that field so that works as a photographer and designer in his own time. There are professional interior design company, they were only in larger cities and sometimes only hire those with experience. But many people rent in that field. From lighting, carpet, furniture, tiles and even paint store. Even places like Home Depot and Lowe to hire designers to work on their kitchen design center and refer customers paint, lighting and carpet to you for advice. I was shocked at the amount of work went into that degree. I assume that he was drawing floor plans. And fun selection tools, paint colors and fun little accessories. I had no idea that he not only designed furniture, but he also had to design electrical and plumbing plans for the entire office building, along with placement wall and window, before it went to the architect. He also had to use only primary colors and mixing them to copy the wall paper and color tools exactly. Then he had to draw and paint all for board design. He loves it, I can not stand spending time looking at fabric upholstery and window treatments. If have eye and love for it to pursue it. This is truly an art form.
