Canadian citizen moving to the United States?

Just wondering about the possibility of moving to the United States from Canada. My sister was born in England, but was raised in Canada. He became a student visa and went to school in Florida and met and married a U.S. citizen from Georgia. He now resides in Georgia. He just had a baby and is looking for a nanny. They would sponsor me if I moved there and became their nanny? What My chances of finding another job in an office or something, I would have to be sponsored as well? I am a Certified Dental Assistant in Canada have a certification in Interior Design. Also, I would be able to buy a house, or do I become a U.S. resident? Any suggestions or information would be appreciated. He has had a green card to stay in U.S..
